Wichita Heights announced Terry Harrison as the new head coach of the football program on Tuesday. Harrison spent the past year as the defensive coordinator for the Falcons.

Before coming to Heights, Harrison was an assistant coach at Valley Center for the previous six seasons.

One of the reasons given in the release for promoting Harrison was his ability to create a seamless transition to a new era for Heights football.

Two weeks ago, Rick Wheeler announced his resignation after 13 seasons at the helm. Wheeler presided over the most successful period of football in school history.
