The final two nights of basketball action in the 2012-2013 season were cancelled for the Wheat State League due to the snow storm that hit the state this past week.

But missing those two final games, neither of them were head-to-head Wheast State games, did nothing to change anything other than costing two Wheat State schools, White City and Elyria Christian, more practice for this week’s sub-state tournaments.

The games, White City vs. Lebo and Elyria Christian vs. Central Christian, were originally scheduled to be played following the cut-off date for team’s to submit their records for the sub-state pairings so even if they had been played they would not have changed any of the sub-state seedings.

There are nine schools in the 2012-2013 Wheat State League. Those nine schools will compete in six different sub-state tournaments with Solomon and Wakefield being the biggest schools as they will compete in the Class 2A sub-state at Belleville while Elyria Christian, White City and Hope will all compete at the smallest level, the Class 1A Division II. Elyria Christian will play in the Sylvan Sub-State tournament while Hope and White City will both play in the Tescott Sub-State tournament.
