6A, 5A & 3A Girls' State Cross Country (October 27, 2012) |
You, the fan, have spoken. The winner of the photo of the fall competition has come to a close and it was a tight race throughout. The winning photo took down the No. 11 seed, No. 3 and No. 2 seeds. However, it was no surprise the No. 6-seeded photo won, as it was receiving strong votes throughout the competition.
The winning photo features Bishop Carroll's Kaelyn Balch narrowly defeating Valley Center's Morgan Wedekind for the girls' 5A state championship. It defeated the No. 4 seeded photo that featured Scott City's Trey O'Neil reaching for a touchdown in the Beavers' state championship win.
Here are the results of the championship round:
No. 6 def. No. 4 with 52.8% of the vote.
Here are the results of the semifinal round:
No. 6 def. No. 2 with 70.8% of the vote.
No. 4 def. No. 8 with 73.7% of the vote.
Thank you for participating in the photo of the fall season!
