WICHITA, Kan.—
After one week and more than 4,900 total votes, the opening round of the Photo of the Spring sports contest has come to a close and there were on a couple upsets in the opening round, but one of those couple was a big upset.Steve Boleski’s No. 16 seeded photo of a Kapaun and Andover player fighting for possession of the ball took down Mike Mendez’s No. 1 seeded photo of a Campus baseball celebration.
The other upset in the first round was minor as Boleski’s No. 9 seeded photo of Katie Kempf hitting a header beat the No. 8 seed.
