SALINA, Kan.—
The 2012 North Central Activities Association’s fall season came to an end Friday night when its lone football team remaining, Beloit, lost to Scott City 42-26 in the Class 3A sub-state championship game.There have already been numerous post-season individual awards presented by the NCAA. The football post-season individual awards should be announced this week.
Beloit won the 2012 football NCAA title with a 5-0 record while Southeast of Saline won the 2012 volleyball NCAA title with an 11-1 record.
Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart High School is currently leading the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports competition with 28 points. The Knights and Lady Knights earned 6 points in football and volleyball, 7 points in girls cross country, 5 points in boys cross country and 4 points in girls’ tennis. The Lady Knights had Hannah Doll, Haley Rapp, Dallas Froome named to the First Team in the All NCAA volleyball squad and Hillawry Williams named to the honorable mention All NCAA volleyball squad.
Minneapolis
Minneapolis High School has 18 points in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports competition after the Lions and Lady Lions earned 4 points in football and volleyball, 3 points in boys cross country and 7 points in girls golf. The Lady Lion volleyball team was represented on the All NCAA volleyball First Team by Allison Smith and by Mara Pounds on the honorable mention list.
Southeast of Saline
Southeast of Saline High School earned 21 points this fall in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports award competition with 3 points in football, 5 in volleyball, 6 in girls’ cross country and 7 in boys’ cross county. The Lady Trojans were represented by Calli Calahan, Lindsay Poague and McKenna White on the All NCAA volleyball’s First Team and by Brooke Chrtie on the All NAA volleyball honorable mention list.
Russell
Russell High School earned 15 points in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports Award competition with 2 points in football, 1 point in volleyball, 6 points in girls’ tennis and 6 points in girls’ golf. The Lady Broncos were represented on the 2012 All NCAA volleyball’s honorable mention by Madison Beagley.
Beloit
The Trojan football team saw its 2012 season come to a halt Friday night when they lost to Scott City 42-26 in the Class 3A sub-state championship game. The Trojans ended their season with a 12-1 record and won the 2012 NCAA championship title with an unblemished 5-0 record. Beloit is in 2nd place in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports Award with 22 points as the Trojans and Lady Trojans earned 7 points in football as the champions, 3 points in volleyball, 3 points in girls’ cross country, 4 points in boys cross country and 5 points in girls’ tennis. The Lady Trojan volleyball team was represented on the 2012 All NCAA volleyball’s First Team by Madeline Brown.
Ellsworth
Ellsworth High School has 19 points in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports Award competition after earning 5 points in football, 7 in volleyball and 7 points in girls’ tennis. The Lady Bearcat volleyball team was represented by Kailee Langdon and Whitney Williams on the 2012 All NCAA volleyball team’s First Team and by Brenn Cravens on the honorable mention list.
Republic County
Republic County High School has 13 points in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports award competition after earning 1 point in football, 2 points in volleyball, 4 points in girls’ cross country and 6 points in boys’ cross country. The Lady Buff volleyball team was represented by Abbey Anderson on the 2012 All NCAA Volleyball’s First Team and by Kiara McCall on the honorable mention list.
