Beloit High School has taken over the lead in the 2012-2013 North Central Activities Association All Sports competition after earning 14.5 points during the winter while Sacred Heart, which was the lead after the fall campaign scored just 6 points during the winter season because Sacred Heart did not field a full wrestling team and did not score any points for wrestling in the All Sports competition.

The Trojans and Lady Trojans now have 36.5 points for this school year in the competition while Sacred Heart sits in second place with 34 points, Southeast of Saline High School is currently third with 33 points, Minneapolis is fourth with 30 points, Ellsworth and Russell and Republic County High Schools are currently tied for fifth, sixth and seventh in the competition with 28.5 points each.

Republic County High School earned the most points during the just completed winter season with 15.5 points while Beloit came in next with 14.5 points, Russell was third in the winter with 13.5 points, Southeast of Saline and Minneapolis came in with 12 points each in the winter while Ellsworth earned 9 winter points and Sacred Heart finished with 6 winter points.

Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart High School was the NCAA All Sports leader after earning 28 points in the fall season but Sacred Heart does not field a wrestling team in the winter and that hurt the Knights and Lady Knights in the All Sports competition. The Lady Knight basketball team earned 1 point for finishing seventh in the NCAA girls’ basketball competition while the Knight boys earned 5 points for finishing in third place in the NCAA boys’ division.

Minneapolis

Minneapolis High School picked up 12 points during the winter season in 2012-2013 after finishing with 3 points in both boys and girls basketball divisions after both teams finished in fifth place in the NCAA. The Minneapolis wrestling team earned 6 points after finishing in a three-way tie for the NCAA title with Beloit and Russell.

Southeast of Saline

The Trojans and Lady Trojans earned 12 points during winter season for the NCAA  All Sports competition after placing fourth in both boys and girls basketball for 4 points in each sport while the Trojan wrestling team also earned 4 points for finishing fourth.

Russell

Russell High School  scored 13.5 points during the winter season after the Bronco wrestling team tied with Beloit and Minneapolis for the NCAA championship and a total of 6 points while the Lady Bronco basketball team finished in a tie for second place with Ellsworth for 5.5 points and the Bronco boys team finished in sixth place for 2 points.

Beloit

Beloit High School overtook Sacred Heart High School for the top spot in the NCAA All Sports competition after earning 14.5 during the winter competition for a total of 36.5 points during the current school year. The Trojans tied for the NCAA championships in both boys basketball and wrestling. The Trojan boys basketball team tied with Republic County for the NCAA crown for  6.5 points while the wrestling team earned 6 points after finishing in a 3-way tie with Minneapolis and Russell for the NCAA crown.

Ellsworth

Ellsworth High School is currently tied for fifth, sixth and seventh with Russell High School  and Republic County High School in the 2012-2013 NCAA All Sports competition with 28.5 points. The Bearcats and Lady Bearcats earned 13.5 points during the winter campaign after finishing tied for second in girls basketball with Russell High School and earning 5.5 points, and tying with Beloit and Minneapolis for the NCAA championship in wrestling and earning 6 points. The Bearcats finished in sixth place in boys basketball to earn 2 points.

Republic County

Republic County High School was the big earner in the winter season in the NCAA after winning both basketball championships and finishing in sixth in wrestling. The Buff boys actually tied with Beloit for the NCAA crown, but still earned 6.5 points while the Lady Buffs won the NCAA crown outright. Republic County is now tied with Ellsworth and Russell for fifth, sixth and seventh in the NCAA All Sports competition with 28.5 points.
