The Kansas state wrestling rankings look completely different now than they did two weeks ago, with the exception of 4A. Not a single individual wrestler moved away from the top spot in their weight class.

Changes in all the other classes highlight this week’s wrestling rankings. Catch all the complete rankings for all classes below.

Garden City is the No. 1- ranked team in 6A, as eight wrestlers are ranked in the top five out of the 15 weight classes. Derby takes the second spot this week and Junction City slides in at No. 3. Derby’s Braden Dipman sits at the top spot in 106, taking it from Maize’s Landen Wood.

Garden City’s Trevor Kennedy is the top-ranked wrestler in 145, as Junction City’s Andrew Millsap moved up in weight to become the top wrestler in 152. Wichita North’s Caleb Franklin is now the No. 2 grappler in 220, right behind Shawnee Mission North’s Armando Contreras.

Sean DeShazer of Wichita Heights and Michael Lindlar of Wichita Northwest remain at Nos. 1 and 2 for the 113 weight class to highlight week three rankings.

Ark City still sits at the top of 5A and proved that as Wyatt Villers moved up in weight class to 160 and was replaced at No. 1 by teammate Michael Helms. Villers is now the No. 2 wrestler in his class.

Kapaun’s Patrick Burrus moved into the top spot in 132 and Zac Gentzler of Andover Central remains at No. 1 in 120. Hays’ Preston Weigel keeps his strangehold of the top spot in 195.

Colby is the top-ranked team in 4A, the most stable classification in the state. Not a single top-ranked wrestler moved down in the ranks or changed weight. Bonner Springs sits at the No. 2 spot and defending state champion Andale comes in at No. 3. El Dorado has moved up to the No. 4 team in the state and Chanute rounds out the top five.

Ellsworth’s Ty Nienke moved into the top spot in 106 as Trey Francka of Chase Chase County moved up in weight to 113, where he took the spot from Scott City’s James Jurgens. Hoisington’s Brandon Ball did much the same as he went from 120 to 126 and bumped Dayton Dreher of Decatur Community down. Logan Bowen of Atchison County took the top spot in 120.

Jared Johnson of Pleasant Ridge moved up substantially from 152 to 170, where he currently holds the No. 1 ranking. Marion’s Brody Carroll is the best grappler in 152.
