WICHITA, Kan.—
It’s come to be expected that each week holds a completely different set of rankings in the world of boys’ soccer. This week is no different. Four new teams highlight the all class rankings as St. Thomas Aquinas was the only team to stay in the same spot as last week.Bishop Miege is now the top-ranked team in Kansas by jumping from No. 4 to No. 1. The Stags bumped Blue Valley Northwest down to No. 2 after holding the top spot last week. Aquinas remains steady at No. 3, the only team to do so in the all class rankings. Derby became the seventh-ranked team in the state after not being ranked last week.
In 6A, Wichita Northwest fell out of the top five as Derby moved in. Topeka Washburn Rural and Olathe East traded spots as the Junior Blues take the No. 2 spot and the Hawks are now No. 3.
The top five teams in 5A remained the same, just in a mixed order. Miege and Aquinas traded spots as Miege is now the top-ranked team in the class and Aquinas sits at No. 2. Kapaun and Carroll both moved up one spot to No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Topeka Seaman dropped from No. 3 to the fifth-ranked team in 5A.
KC Christian and Rose Hill remained the third and fifth-ranked teams in 4-1A, respectively. St. James Academy made a huge jump from No. 4 to No. 1 this week. The Thunder bumped Topeka Hayden out of the top spot.
