Classes 4, 5 and 6A did not change for the boys from last week’s rankings. The girls’ rankings are the same for 6A and the only reason the 5A girls’ saw any shift was to correct an error in last week’s rankings when Blue Valley Stilwell appeared in both the 5A and 6A ranks.
The Wichita North boys stayed in the No. 4 spot in 6A and Wichita East still sits at No. 10. The Wichita Heights girls’ remain as the top team in 6A and Maize is right on the Falcons’ tails at No. 3.
The Kapaun Mt. Carmel boys’ are still the No. 1 team after defeating the No. 10 Wichita East Blue Aces and it’s the same story for the Kapaun girls’ after its win over the 6A seventh-ranked Lady Blue Aces Friday. The Wichita South girls remain at the No. 9 spot in 6A.
The 5A girls’ rankings got a bit of a shake as Newton moved No. 6 to No. 4 and Andover, Andover Central and Bishop Carroll all moved up one spot to No. 6, 7 and 8, respectively. The 5A boys saw no change as Carroll stayed at No. 6 and Goddard Eisenhower stayed at No. 7.
Wamego and McPherson switched places as the Lady Bullpups moved to No. 2 and the Lady Red Raiders moved into the top spot in the 4A girls’ rankings. Buhler and Pratt both moved up one spot to the No. 6 and 7 spots, respectively. The Scott City boys are still the No. 1 team in 3A as are the Hillsboro Lady Trojans in 3A.
