WICHITA, Kan.—
All but two teams moved in the 5A boys top 10. The two that didn’t move were No. 1 Shawnee Mission South and No. 10 Andover. Goddard Eisenhower and Kapaun moved up one spot each to Nos. 4 and 5, respectively. Andover Central moved up two spots to No. 7.The 5A girls saw almost as much movement. Salina South and Newton traded places. Newton is now ranked No. 6 and Salina South now sits at No. 4. Defending 5A state champion fell two spots to No. 7.
The Washington County girls still sit at the top of the 2A girls’ ranks, as every other team moved to a new place. Sterling, the former No. 2, fell to No. 10. Smith Center moved from No. 5 to No. 2 and Ellis moved from No. 3 to No. 8. The Republic County Lady Buffaloes climbed from No. 10 to No. 5.
