WICHITA, Kan.—
The big move this week was the Wichita South Lady Titans finally claimed the No. 1 spot in 6A. The Lady Titans have been ranked all season and have slowly climbed up through the top 10. Olathe South is No. 2 and Olathe Northwest is No. 3 in 6A.Astonishingly enough, not a single boys’ team in the state moved from last week. This isn’t just for 6A, 5A or 4A, but for every class. Not a single team in last week’s top 10 moved in any class.
The 5A girls saw some shake ups and Newton fell from No. 3 to No. 5 and Bishop Miege moved to No. 3. Kapaun climbed from No. 6 to No. 4 and Salina Central and Salina South are Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. Andover and Andover Central are Nos. 9 and 10 this week respectively.
