Kapaun Mt. Carmel played another close game Friday, but this time the Crusaders were on the losing side. The Northwest Grizzlies beat Kapaun 52-50. East didn’t have much trouble with a struggling South squad 63-45. Carroll continues its underwhelming season with a 64-48 loss at the hands of West. Heights finished off Southeast in a 52-45 win.
McPherson handed El Dorado its first loss of the season in a 65-40 beat down. The Bullpups and Wildcats both sit at 7-1. Collegiate missed standout guard Markus Phox in a 64-59 loss to Clearwater. Mulvane took care of business against Buhler 47-40.
Goddard Eisenhower took it to cross-town rival Goddard 68-40. Andover Central finished off Ark City in a 62-41 shellacking.
Hutch ran past Salina South 58-42. Salina Central, on the other hand, took down a tough Derby squad 54-48. Andover didn't mess around with Campus in a 71-58 victory for the Trojans. Augusta slid past Rose Hill 50-48.
Winfield and Wellington wasn't much of a match up as Winfield took home a 57-35 win. Andale ran away with a 59-30 win over Hutch Trinity. The Indians haven't lost since the first game of the season.
It came down to free throws and three pointers for Sterling as it beat Kingman 58-55. Hesston trounced Halstead 74-38 and Haven downed Lyons 60-47. Hillsboro took care of business against Nickerosn in a 38-30 win. Pratt was able to take home a 41-35 victory over Smoky Valley.
Wichita Trinity and Cheney found themselves in a shootout as the Knights beat the Cardinals 84-73. Douglass came away with a 64-58 win on its home floor over Belle Plaine. Medicine Lodge, by the skin of its teeth, beat Conway Springs 44-43. Garden Plain thrashed Bluestem 57-36. Independent continued to put points on the board in a 95-67 win over Chaparral.
Great Bend were 49-43 winners over Dodge City. Hays had absolutely no problems with Garden City in a 74-54 beat down.
The Bulldogs of Bennington continued its winning ways in a 69-40 domination of Remington. Ell-Saline nearly doubled up on Canton-Galva 61-31.
Otis-Bison dropped a huge rivalry game against LaCrosse 65-36. The Knights of Victoria beat the Oilers of Central Plains 52-39.
Topeka Highland Park dropped some points against Topeka West in a 100-45 walkthrough. Not to be outdone, St. John's Military put on a showing as the Muleskinners trounced Cair Paravel 110-53. Kiowa County took it to Kinsley 64-34. Thomas More Prep embarrassed Russell 58-13. Emporia beat Topeka in a Centennial League match up 81-52.
