Senior Night took place as El Dorado took on Augusta and Collegiate. Six seniors for El Dorado played their final game at El Dorado High School. They are Abbey Cuskelly, Kelsee Howell, Daphne Park, Kaleigh Parscal, McLaren Stewart and Kristen Walker.

El Dorado sent their seniors out in style by defeating both Augusta and Collegiate.

Collegiate faced El Dorado for the second time in three days defeating them last Saturday 27-29, 25-17, 25-21  In match one versus Collegiate, Collegiate got off to a great start, but the game went back and forth before Collegiate winning game one 25-21. In game two the Lady Wildcats struke back, with two 4-0 runs en route them to a third game winning game two 25-19. Game three saw Collegiate start out on a 6-1 run, but El Dorado used a 5-0 run to lead 23-21, en route to a 25-23 win. The match elapsed one hour and eighteen minutes.

Match two saw Collegiate and Augusta face off. The last time these two teams met was in the El Dorado Tournament last Saturday. Also, they faced off in Augusta on Sept. 25 with Augusta winning 25-16, 23-25, and 25-19. Collegiate used multiple 4-0 and 2-0 runs and also an 8-0 run to win game one 25-15. Game two would see Augusta come back to force a game three 25-17. Collegiate continued their dominance winning 25-9.

El Dorado and Augusta faced off in the nightcap. The two met at the El Dorado Tournament as well last Saturday, with El Dorado winning 25-21 and 25-18. Game one saw El Dorado go out a 4-0 lead, but Augusta fought back leading 19-16 at one point in the contest. A questionable call was made as Baylie Harsh went for a kill, the official called her over the net. The game was tied at 23-23, but El Dorado lost a point and Augusta got a point making it 24-22 Augusta. Augusta went on to win game on 25-23. Game two saw El Dorado use three 4-0 runs and one 5-0 run to force game three 25-21. Game three El Dorado turn it on with multiple runs en route to a 25-14 win.

Coach Jane Squires said her team played good on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

“Logan Morrow and Harsh stepped up on the offensive side of the ball tonight,” Squires said. “We have been changing our style up and we have been playing faster. Stewart also had some good plays as well.”

El Dorado (10-17) will finish their regular season next Tuesday at Augusta to take on Augusta and Rose Hill. Augusta (11-15) will be at a tournament in Hillsboro on Saturday. Collegiate (16-16) will finish their regular season next Tuesday as well at Winfield to take on Winfield and Mulvane.
