Some great games highlighted a wonderful Tuesday night on the hardwood. North’s Conner Frankamp made his return in high-flying fashion. Augusta has heated up in recent weeks and two top-five teams squared off. Catch up on all the action in this edition of the Catch-All.

GWAL

East was put to the test against a tough Kapaun squad and passed with flying colors in a 49-46 win. East’s J.J. Normore led all players with 19 points. Carroll came out firing in a 44-39 win over Heights. North’s Conner Frankamp scored just as many points as Northwest in a 64-29 romp of the Grizzlies. Southeast went on a big third quarter run and didn’t let up on South 73-43. Southeast’s Jerrick Harding and E.J. Garnes scored 22 and 21 points, respectively. South’s Jordan Moore also scored 21 in the loss.

AVCTL

McPherson outscored Andale 12-5 in the overtime to come away with a 64-57 victory in a matchup of two top-five teams. McPherson’s Keaton Sorenson led all players with 24 points.

Valley Center beat Maize South by a singular point 53-52. Maize kept Newton at arm’s length 51-41. Andover Central sped by Goddard 55-35. Mulvane slipped past Collegiate 46-44 in a low-scoring affair. Hays handed Salina South a 54-48 loss.

The Wildcats of El Dorado were 51-48 winners over rival Circle. Augusta has been on a bit of a hot streak as it took down Buhler 60-46. Rose Hill was able to finish off Wellington 47-42. Clearwater dominated Winfield 66-49.

CKL

Hesston’s Ryan Schadler led all players with 21 points and teammate Wyatt McKinney dropped 19 in a 73-52 win over Haven. The Lions of Lyons found no trouble with Halstead in a 56-39 victory. Sterling escaped Hillsboro 71-68. Pratt finished off Kingman 57-46.

CPL

The two-win Belle Plaine Dragons’ season didn’t get any easier in a 62-25 drubbing at the hands of Wichita Trinity. Belle Plaine was held scoreless in the first quarter. Trinity’s Ryan Miller led all players with 20 points.

Independent continued its scoring hot streak 82-65 over Douglass. Garden Plain squeaked by Medicine Lodge 41-38. Cheney was able to pull away from Conway Springs 47-40.

NCKL

Abilene handed No. 2 Wamego a 77-65 loss. Clay Center scored just enough in a 27-23 win over Chapman.

HOA

Moundridge took down Berean Academy 44-38. Berean’s Loren Pearce led all players with 18 points. Remington didn’t have much trouble with Hutch Trinity 51-34. Remington’s Grant Claassen finished with 16 points. Inman dominated Ell-Saline 59-32. Bennington pranced past Sedgwick 55-34. Marion sent Canton-Galva away with a 50-26 loss.

Others

Thomas More Prep took down Ellinwood 65-61. Ellinwood’s Kyle Blakeslee led his team with 18 points. Smith Center beat Norton 67-60. Hutch Central Christian dominated Chase 62-36. Lakin charged past Satanta 51-21.
