St. John-Hudson crushed No. 6 Centre 55-26 in Emporia Wednesday. St. John built an insurmountable 26-10 halftime lead. Centre scored in the double digits in only the fourth quarter with 11 points. Alexis Witt scored 14 points in the win and Jamie Waters added 10 points and five assists. St. John-Hudson will face Hoxie in the second round.

No. 2 Hoxie remains undefeated

Hoxie improved to 24-0 with an 81-36 bludgeon of South Haven. The Lady Indians jumped out to a 42-17 halftime lead and extended it when they outscored the Lady Cardinals 22-9 in the third quarter. Six players for Hoxie scored in the double digits. Gabriel Spresser led all players with 18 points and Kristina Farber added 17 points. Hoxie will meet St. John-Hudson in the second round.

No. 1 Olpe sends Hanover packing

Olpe remained undefeated with a 56-40 win over Hanover. The Lady Eagles improved to 24-0 on the season. Olpe built a 32-23 halftime lead and didn’t look back. Olpe’s Elena Flott led all players with 20 points and Janae Haag added 13 in the win. Olpe will face Bucklin in the second round.

No. 5 Bucklin moves past Thunder Ridge

Bucklin moved into the second round of the state tournament with a 45-32 win over Thunder Ridge. Bucklin improved to 18-5 on the season. Bucklin held Thunder Ridge to just 10 points in the second half and will play Olpe in the second round.
