A new show highlighting Kansas high school sports debuted in 2008 on KSCW.

The Catch It Kansas Show is devoted entirely to Kansas student-athletes and high school sports. KWCH Sports Director Bruce Haertl hosts the show. Haertl, who has been covering sports for more than 28 years, will be joined by sports reporters Jenn Bates, Grant Meech, Heather Williams of Hays, and Karl Man of Salina.

The Catch It Kansas Show airs at 11 p.m. every Friday on KSCW (Channel 33, Cox Cable 5). There is a rebroadcast at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays on KSCW and again at 11:05 p.m. Sundays on KWCH following "Sports Sunday."

The content was developed by KWCH Eyewitness Sports and CatchItKansas.com. KWCH 12 launched CatchItKansas.com in 2007, and it quickly became the premier source for high school sports in Kansas.

"We dedicate a large amount of resources to covering high school sports in our viewing area," said Joan Barrett, KWCH president and general manager. "We can now combine the strengths of our online and on-air products to produce an action-packed show for high school sports fans every Friday."

The Catch It Kansas Show provides an entertaining 30 minutes of sports coverage through highlights, in-depth interviews and question-and-answer sessions with high school athletes and coaches. Each episode will feature games of the week from across the state.

"In a time when so many other sports operations are condensing coverage, it's exciting to be part of a team that's expanding," said Haertl. "CatchItKansas.com is an integral part of our high school sports coverage, and I'm proud to be a part of it."
