The season’s coming to a close in a few weeks and boys basketball teams had to grind out another game on their way toward postseason play.

GWAL

Bishop Carroll won the coveted Holy War battle against Kapaun Mt. Carmel 46-43.

Wichita East defeated Wichita Northwest 52-42.

Wichita Southeast won a thriller against Wichita North 59-56. Zach Beard scored the most points in the game with 18 points for the Redskins, followed by teammate Sean Bernard, who had 16 points. Jordan Murdock led the game-winning Golden Buffaloes with 16 points.

AVCTL

It took two overtimes for Derby to get past Salina Central. The Panthers won 83-78.

Maize dominated Campus 48-33.

Hutchinson barely edged Salina South 38-37.

Andover gathered a victory against Goddard 62-55. Adam Dekoning led all scorers with 22 points for the Trojans. The Lions’ Tucker Vang dropped a team-leading 18 points.

Andover Central solidified their win column with a 57-46 victory against Valley Center. Darraja Parnell sank a game-leading 25 points for the Jaguars.

Maize South slapped Arkansas City 63-37.

Winfield walloped Buhler 53-32. Will Adler earned 24 points for the Vikings to lead all scorers, and his teammate Logan Mays dropped 14 points of his own.

McPherson milled El Dorado 54-35. The Bullpups' Kyler Kinnamon led all scorers with 13 points. His teammate Drew Pyle and the Wildcats' Alec Hildreth both had 11 points of their own.

Rose Hill rallied against Mulvane to win 61-55.

Andale never wavered against Wellington winning 67-42.

Augusta axed Circle 82-65.

Central Plain League

Chaparral chapped Belle Plaine 65-28.

Wichita Independent edged Cheney 55-53.

Garden Plain paired up well with Wichita Trinity. The Owls ousted the Knights 43-42.

Otis-Bison nixed Ness City 56-54.

St. John-Hudson found victory against Victoria at 61-36.

Heart of America

Berean Academy maxed Moundridge 57-50. Moundridge's Higgens Garrett led all scorers with 22 points. Berean's David Ladwig followed closely with 19 points of his own.

Inman edged Ell-Saline 51-47.

Hutchinson Trinity ribbed Remington 49-38. Jerome Miller had 13 points for the Celtics, while Christopher Maldonado and CJ Watson dropped 10 points of their own.

North Central Activities Association

Beloit wrecked Russell 74-33.

Minneapolis sacked Southeast of Saline 70-59.

North Central Kansas

Abilene assaulted Wamego 63-43. Keil Kelly led all scorers with 19 points for the Cowboys. His teammates Jesse Patrick had 13 points and Tanner Hoekman was a close third with 12 points.

Concordia chapped Chapman 61-36.

Western Athletic Conference

Hays fileted Liberal 55-22.

Non-League

Goddard Eisenhower never faltered against Newton and won 56-41. The Tigers remain undefeated at 16-0.

Halstead halted Nickerson 64-37.

Haven snuck past Sterling 48-45.

Hesston defeated Hillsboro 45-43. Hillsboro’s Christian Ratzlaff led all scorers with 17 points. He was followed by teammate Brett Weinbrenner, who had 15 points. Hesston’s Wyatt McKinney and Tyler McCartney both had 13 points.

It took double overtime for Kingman to get past Smoky Valley 50-42.

Pratt pushed past Lyons 52-43.

Douglass capitalized against Conway Springs 62-57.
