Kicking off the football postseason this week has ratcheted team's nerves up to their highest point of the season. Teams pushing to grab their postseason dreams have their work laid out for them. The west side of the bracket will look as follows.

Holton vs. Collegiate
Holton defeated Hesston 57- 26 and Collegiate beat Winfield 35-10 in the first round of the state tournament for the privilage to face each other in the next round.
Andale vs. McPherson
Hugoton tried and failed against Andale losing 58-27 and it was a similar story for Clay Center against McPherson, McPherson defeated Clay Center 35-10 thrusting them into the 2nd round of the state tournament.
Maize South vs. Mulvane
Surviving a brutal test against Topeka Hayden, Maize South worked hard to earn their way into the next round winning 14-7. Mulvane however, made it look relatively easy against Rose Hill winning handily 37-14.
Buhler vs. Concordia
Buhler's 28-7 win over Ulysses and Concordia's 50-8 victory over Abilene pushes both of them into next weeks match up against each other.

Conway Springs vs. Garden Plain
A rematch from earlier this year in which Garden Plain defeated Conway Springs this game shapes up to be an epic battle. Conway arrived off a 69-38 victory over Wichita Independent while Garden Plain made equally quick work of Marion winning 49-14.
Sacred Heart vs. Scott City
Scott City moves on after a 55-6 deconstruction of Cimarron while Sacred Heart had a much closer game just edging out Norton, winning 21-19.
Sedgwick vs. Hillsboro
Sedgwick's 70-31 victory over Chaparral pits them against a worthy Hillsboro team that took on Haven and won 34-13 Tuesday night.
Beloit vs. Holcomb
Ellsworth was no trouble at all for Beloit who took care of them 66-0. Holcomb took different approach allowing Hoisington to score once at least, but still beat them 28-7.
Soccer Quarterfinals
Tonganoxie slipped by DeSoto in a 2-1 victory moving on to the next round
McPherson blew out Fort Scott 6-0
Topeka Hayden 4, Wichita Trinity 0; the win allows the Wildcats to move on and play another day.
Wichita Northwest defeats Wichita North 1-0
Washburn Rural ends Derby's season with a 1-0 victory
Kapaun blows out Newton 7-0
Liberal continues to keep their head down and just keep winning as the move past Great Bend with a 1-0 win.
