Hartman arena hosted its second batch of opening-round games on Thursday, where every single game saw the higher seeded team advance to the semifinals.

Number one seeded Andale had no trouble with Iola, winning 56-47 in the first game of the day. The Indian’s victory was followed by the number four seed Eudora taking care of Holton 48-32.

Andale will face off against Eudora on Friday at 4:45pm for a chance to break into the state championship game.

On the other side of the bracket number two seeded Scott City took care of Pratt 71-52. Concordia followed up the Beavers’ victory with a win against Girard. The Panthers downed the Trojans 77-63, wrapping up a tournament sweep for the higher seeds.

Scott City will take on Concordia Friday at 8:15pm in the tournament semifinals. The winner will stake a claim for the second berth in the championship game held on Saturday at 6:15pm.

The consolation third-place game will take place on Saturday at 2:00pm.
