WICHITA, Kan.—
Junior Tram Ngo played for the girls’ tennis team because she was one of the three returnees. She would be able to help teach and critique the girls during the season. Ngo was one of the team leaders. She was able to support Ping Tran, senior, another returnee. Tran and Ngo were the main contributors to the team. "I'm going to have to practice on the off season to keep up an improve for next year," Ngo said.
"A highlight was playing other schools that weren't as good as we thought. Or probably going to Buffalo Wild Wings as a team and hanging out," Ngo said.
The girls’ tennis team was able to bond this past year more than the teams Ngo had played on before. She knew the girls were stronger on the court by the end of the season because of they were close to each other and knew their strengths and weaknesses.
"The team definitely grew and bonded, and they gained a lot more experience. As for myself, I can do better, I just need to work on my serves and staying on my toes," Ngo said.
Ngo was able to assess her own weaknesses during the season and used her improvements to strengthen the other girls. Ngo plans to continue her tennis career next year for the Golden Buffaloes and work to her fullest to improve on the off season. She hopes for the other girls to also practice on the off season for them to play their best next season.
