As the season is winding down for bowling, North bowlers have been keeping a strong focus for what they have been training for: success.

Led by five dedicated seniors, they, along with head coach Mike Long, have been preaching what it means to play with you a strong mentality and playing how they have been practicing.

“The boys team is hyped and always a threat to the best teams. We just need to stay focused and accomplish our goals,” senior Cody Wyatt said.

As the team prepares for its biggest meets, the Skins are working hard and efficiently on spares, consistent hitting and on target boards. The knowledge of what lies up the road gives them enough time to put in some extra practice time and technique to be fully prepared to bowl at the level the team knows it can. The boys are now 8-4, while the girls have been having more of a rebuilding season, but are showing improvement through practices and meets. The will to focus keeps high hopes for the boys as they aim to be one of the best teams in the City, if not the best overall.

“We know that we can put up scores just as high as anyone else. We are getting pretty hyped but again we are just keeping everyone focused,” Wyatt said of the boys.

The Skins next meet will be Feb. 13th against Southeast at Thunderbird starting at 3:30 p.m.
