Kapaun made sure they didn't start the 2012 season 0-3.
Using a huge first half, the Crusaders cruised to a 61-0 win over an outmatched North team, Thursday night at Carpenter Stadium.
Kapaun (1-2) scored on their first series with a 46-yard Devon Dempsey touchdown run before leading 19-0 at the end of the first quarter. They piled it on from there to lead 41-0 at halftime.
Kapaun plays Heights next Friday at Heights. North (0-3) travels to Great Bend on the 21st.
