  • Bucklin football wins for the first time in six years

    The Bucklin Red Aces won a football game for the first time in six years when they defeated the Cunningham Wildcats Friday night. Their 56-6 victory ended a 54 game losing streak. To put things into perspective, the last time the Aces won, in September 2008 against Kiowa County, George W. Bush was still president of the United States.

  • Hays takes the 4A girls golf title

    The Hays High girls golf team took home its first state title in the sport, besting second place Hayden by 16 strokes to win the 4A title. The Indians previous best finish at state was a runner-up finish in Class 5A in 2011. Goodland was 11 strokes behind Hayden to capture the third place trophy.
