  • Ness City wins OT thriller to earn postseason berth

    It was a tight, back and forth battle fit for a winner takes all showdown. Both Ness City and Hodgeman County came into Thursdays 8-Man Division I showdown with identical 3-1 records in district seven.  The winner of this game would advance to the postseason, the loser would be done for the season.

  • Natoma XC aims for state lore

    Natoma defeated Pike Valley at the Northern Plains League meet last season. Two weeks later, the Tigers had a disappointing start in the Class 1A boys’ state cross country race at Wamego Country Club. Three Natoma runners were knocked down in a collision at the start of the race, an accident that  occurred just past the restart cone at the top of Wamego’s race-opening hill.
