    Natoma defeated Pike Valley at the Northern Plains League meet last season. Two weeks later, the Tigers had a disappointing start in the Class 1A boys’ state cross country race at Wamego Country Club. Three Natoma runners were knocked down in a collision at the start of the race, an accident that  occurred just past the restart cone at the top of Wamego’s race-opening hill.
