GWAL
The Wichita Heights Falcons shut down Bishop Carroll with their press defense and flew past the Golden Eagles to a blow out 50-29 victory.
The Crusaders from Kapaun dominated the Aces of Wichita East in a 62-39 win. Kapaun's in first place at 9-0 in the GWAL and 10-2 overall recovering from a two game losing streak.
Northwest's Shayla Cotman led Wichita Northwest to a 49-33 victory over Wichita North. Cotman led all scorers with 12.
Wichita South's a freight train coming off a Pratt Tournament Championship win and Wichita Southeast couldn't get out of the way. Kendrian Elliot led all scorers with 13 and helped the Titans roll over the Golden Buffaloes 51-28.
AVCTL
It took overtime for Maize to dispatch a competitive Newton team, 41-38. Paige Lungwitz (Maize) and Taylor Stahly (Newton) dropped 17 points each to lead all scorers.
Andover Central destroyed the Goddard Lions in a 65-33 victory. The win gives the Jaguars a 5-1 league record and puts them at 10-4 overall.
Maize South edged out Valley Center in a game where scoring was a luxury. The Mavericks however were able to put three more points on the board than the Hornets.
Central Kansas League
Lyons' roar proved to be too intimidating for Halstead in a 63-25 victory.
Haven was just able to escape their encounter with the Swathers in a 37-33 nail biter. The Wildcats improve to a 11-3 record on the year after their win against Hesston.
Hillsboro swept Sterling off their schedule in a 67-42 win against Sterling High School on Tuesday night.
Pratt was two points away from doubling up on Kingman in a 42-22 win.
Nickerson grabbed their first win of the season in what, so far, has been a long one. The Panthers are now 1-13 after they defeated Smoky Valley 34-33
Central Plains League
Wichita Trinity scared off the Dragons of Belle Plaine in a 23 point win, 58-35.
Conway Springs came away with a 31-26 victory against Cheney. They're a perfect 2-0 in league play.
Douglass defeated The Wichita Independent School 41-34 to improve to 9-5 on the season.
Garden Plain put up exactly double the amount of points Medicine Lodge was able to score in a 46-23 victory for the Owls.
Heart of America
Remington beat up on Hutchinson Trinity 55-36 and are now 4-1 in the Heart of America League.
Berean Academy put up quite a fight in Moundridge but the Wildcats pace proved to be too much for them as Moundridge won 43-35.
Ell-Saline and Inman played to an exteremely close finish but in the end Saline came out on top with a 42-40 win.
North Central Activities Association
Republic County defeated Beloit 39-22 to improve to 12-2 on the year.
Russell beats Ellsworth 54-39 moving them to 12-4 on the season.
Southeast of Saline improves to 8-6 after they beat Salina Sacred Heart 44-40.
North Central Kansas
Wamego never gave Abilene a chance as the dismantled the Cowboys 76-35.
Clay Center blew out Chapman 50-23.
Non-League
Salina South's Megan Holloway sinks a jump shot with just three seconds remaining in overtime to give the Cougars a 40-38 victory over Hays.
Augusta goes into Buhler and gets a 42-33 victory in a hostile environment.
McPherson achieved an 18 point victory in their game at home against Andale.
Mulvane is now 10-4 after they held home court in a 42-25 win against Wichita Collegiate.
Clearwater defeats Winfield at home by 14 points in a 42-28 win.
Circle girls edged El Dorado 47-42 in El Dorado. The Thunderbirds are now two games above .500 at 8-6.
Chase held on for a 41-38 over Hutchinson Central Christian on Central Christian's home floor.
Great Bend left Hoisington on their bus with a 14 point victory to improve to 7-5 on the season.
Dodge City, on their home floor, left the gym with a 20 point, 48-28 win against Liberal.
