The LaCrosse teams tried to comeback, but they didn't quite have enough to overtake Stockton Tuesday night at home.

It started in the girls game where the Lady Tigers used up at double digit first half lead thanks in large part to a 7-0 run to end the first quarter and starting the second.

By the time the game reached halftime Stockton had opned up a a 20-12 lead and the Lady Tigers lead was 16.

It looked like the game might get out of hand, LaCrosse went on a run to cut the lead to 10 and then to six. But the Lady Tigers had just enough juice to hang on for the 45-32 victory.

Morgan Beiugher lead Stockton with 12 points.

In the boys game, it was even more dramatic. Stockton opened up the game on a 10-0 run, but by the time the first quarter ended the Leopards had closed the lead to five.

Stockton stretched lead back out to ten at the half and 12 after three quarters. LaCrosse was down, but they were not out. They slowly chipped away at the lead and finally went up by one when Derrick Depperschmidt buried a three with less then a minute to go in the game.

Justin Wiltfong hit one of two free throws to tie the game at 57 and it looked as if it was headed to overtime.

As time wound down in the game, the Tigers tossed up a desperation three. It came up short but somehow Stockton got the put back at the buzzer to escape LaCrosse with the 59-57 victory.

Jaden Williams lead all scores with 20 points.
