Buhler took home top honors in AVCTL Div. III and Mulvane took second in the league. Both squads placed two players on first-team all-league. Just two seniors found their names on the first-team.
Buhler junior Josie Williams was named as the Player of the Year and Buhler coach Brennan Torgerson was named Coach of the Year. Two sophomores and two juniors were named to the first-team.
In Division IV, Wellington and Maize South both landed two players on the first-team. Wellington’s Dani Anderson and Ashlynn Whaley are two of the three seniors placed on first-team. Anderson was honored as the Player of the Year for Division IV. Her coach Kevin Hackerott was named Coach of the Year for guiding Wellington to its first girls state tournament in school history.
Maize South’s McKenna Poynter, a junior, and Mariah Suchan, a sophomore, also found themselves on first-team to lead their team. Although Andale won the league title with a 9-1 record and 18-4 overall, senior Jill Ast was the only Lady Indian to land on first-team.
