The first regular season wreslting rankings courtesy of the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association are out. All of the No. 1 teams from the preseason remain the same, but there were some changes in the other top 10's.

Wichita Heights started out with a rough week and dropped from No. 2 to No. 5 in Class 6A. The defending Class 5A champion Andover Central Jaguars slipped one spot to No. 3. McPherson moved up into the top five at No. 4 in Class 4A.

Jared Suppes of Derby is the new No. 1 at 120 pounds as he replaces Heights' Greg Jones who dropped from the rankings. Gardner Edgerton's T.J. Stokes is now ranked No. 2 at 126 pounds, so that freed up Ben Randolph of Shawnee Mission East to take over No. 1 at 132 pounds. Matt Reed of Heights moved up to the top spot at 170 pounds, so Rory Haug of Olathe North claimed his vacated No. 1 spot at 160 pounds.

Reese Cokeley of St. James Academy supplanted El Dorado's Bryce Morgan as the No. 1 wrestler in the 106-pound class. Zak Hensley, also of St. James, is the new No. 1 at 113 pounds. The other two new No. 1's in this class are Kane Kelly of Abilene at 182 pounds and Broc Bennett of Pittsburg at 285 pounds.

Brogan Humphrey of Fredonia was No. 1 at 132 pounds, but now is No. 1 at 138 pounds. Clay Mulligan of Scott City takes advantage of the switch as the new No. 1 at 132 pounds. Ky Biddle of Burden dropped a weight class to 152 pound where he is now No. 1. Riley Hunsicker of Ellis takes over the vacated No. 1 spot at 160 pounds. The final change is at 220 pounds where Riley Oharah of Goodland is the new No. 1.
