The 5A regional held at Braeburn Golf Course was not only hosted by Kapaun, but it was also where the Crusaders qualified for state.

“It helps when you practice here every day,” said sophomore Hannah Perkins after leading her team to win the regional.

Wednesday, Perkins hit an 88 as the Kapaun team won the city league tournament by a score of 369. She says that with some adjustments, she was able to improve from last week.

Today, Perkins shot a 42 in the front nine and an impressive 38 in the back in order to finish with an 80.

“My putts and my chips were really good (today),” said Perkins. “My short game was better than normal.”
