Rockhurst High School from Missouri came into Kansas, and for the fourth time in five seasons, defeated the Hutchinson Salthawks. Hutchinson is the top-ranked team in 6A, however Rockhurst has long been a power house program in Missouri, and this season is no different. Rockhurst won this game 35-31.
In Buhler, Mulvane came in as the third-ranked team in 4A, while the Crusaders held the number two spot. Those positions may be changing after Mulvane used a late defensive stop to upset Buhler on their home field. The final score was 38-34.
