Boys Basketball

Wichita Trinity 59, Garden Plain 45 -- Final

-Trinity eventually wears down a competitive Garden Plain squad after building up a 14 point lead.

-Trinity goes up four, 42-38,  with one quarter left to play.

-Trinity's Ryan Miller leads all scorers with 15 points but his team's losing at the half 30-28.

-Garden Plain's Denver Doyle gets a three point play to bring the Owls within one point of Trinity, the Knights lead 22-21 with four minutes left in the second quarter.

-Garden Plain's able to hold on to a one point lead at the end of the first quarter 14-13.

-Denver Doyle puts the Owls ahead 12-11 with a score inside the paint and two minutes remaining in the first quarter.


Wichita North 67, Kapaun Mt. Carmel 61 -- Final

-Frankamp's 43 points gives the Redskins a 67-61 victory over the Kapaun Crusaders.

-Two more free throws and he's got 43 now.

-Another pair of free throws for Frankamp gives him 41 points with 14 seconds left.

-North's up 63-59 after two Frankamp free throws, there's only 43 seconds remaining.

-Frankamp with two more puts North up three with under two minutes left in the game.

-Wichita North grabs the lead with just over four minutes left to play, Frankamp's 35 points doesn't hurt.

-Frankamp's two free throws ties the game at 58 with five minutes left to play.

-Damon Akao with another three pointer pushes Kapaun's lead up to five, 58-53 with under six minutes left to play.

-Frankamp scores three more now has 32 after three quarters, Crusaders still lead 51-49.

-One minute left in the third quarter Frankamp's 29 points has the Redskins within seven of the Crusaders.

-Kapaun extends their lead to eight points halfway through the third quarter on the back of Damon Akao who sinks back-to-back three pointers.

-Kapaun ends the half on a 12-2 run taking a three point lead into the half. Frankamp leads all scorers with 20 points.

-Halfway through the second quarter North expands its lead to 10 points. Frankamp has 16 of those 29 points.

-Four points to start the quarter for Frankamp coming off of a pair of free throws and a jump shot.

-Frankamp has eight points in the first quarter and his sticking to his perimeter game shooting exclusively from beyond the arc.

-Frankamp's confidence has him staring down the Kapaun student section.

-Frankamp's back-to-back three pointers has Wichita North up 15-8 with three minutes left in the first quarter.

 

Rose Hill 53, Mulvane 60 -- Final

-Mulvane eventually pulls away from Rose Hill winning 60-53.

-Rose Hill recaptures the lead heading into the final quarter, 42-41.

-Under two minutes left in the third quarter Ty Redington's three for Mulvane gives them a two point lead, 39-37.

-With the lead at one point being seven points in favor of Rose Hill Mulvane cuts it to five with one half left to play.

-After one quarter Rose Hill is up 11-7 over Mulvane.

Girls Basketball

 

Garden Plain 54, Wichita Trinity 33 -- Final

-Garden Plains wins their 14th straight game defeating Trinity 54-33.

-With three minutes left Kelli Henderson finds the bottom of the basket for the first time since the first quarter but it may be too little too late as Garden Plain leads 47-28 with three in a half minutes left in the game.

-Alli Heimerman leads all scorers with 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, Garden Plain continues to dominate 41-22.

-Trinity's first hoop of the quarter makes it 33-20 with three and a half minutes to play in the third.

-The Owls are on a 9-0 run thus far in the third quarter and lead 33-18 with four and a half minutes left.

-A back and forth affair Garden Plain goes back up after scores in the paint and beyond the arc by Lizzie Costello and Natalie Dooley, respectively.

-A three-ball from Shiloh Miller puts Trinity ahead by one with four minutes left in the second quarter.

-Trinity within two; six minutes left in the first half.

-A 4-0 run by Garden Plain has the Owls on top, still in the first quarter.

-Kelli Henderson's and Kristin Miller's baskets have Trinity up early in the middle of the first quarter.

 

Hutchinson 34, Salina South 64 -- Final

-Salina South never lets off the throttle and leaves Hutchinson in the dust winning 64-34.

-At the half Hutch is unable to keep up with Salina South who leads 36-15 at half.

-Hutchinson answers with a 7-2 run of their own South leads 26-12 with three minutes left in the first half.

-Salina South has scored the last 21 points and lead Hutchinson by 19 with four minutes left in the first half.

-Hutchinson scores the first points of the game with a three pointer, Salina comes back and scores seven straight to take a four point lead on the Salthawks.

 

Mulvane 43, Rose Hill 33 -- Final

-Rose Hill's push comes up short and Mulvane holds on to win 43-33.

-The Rockets are making a final push to make the Wildcats sweat they're within six with just under three minutes left in the game.

-A 7-0 run for Mulvane to end the third quarter puts them ahead of Rose Hill 32-25.

-KaSandra Melick ties the game for Mulvane, it's 21-21 halfway through the third quarter.

-Autumn Lipscomb's 11 points leads all scorers and helps Rose Hill capture the lead 19-18 at the half.

-After one quarter Aubree Burkhart's five points gives Mulvane a five point lead heading into the second.

-Rose Hill searches for revenge after a 23 point loss to Mulvane earlier this year they're tied at seven with four minutes left in the first quarter.
