The AVCTL Division I and II All-League volleyball teams have been released and teams that made state dominate both sets of all-league teams.
In AVCTL Division I, Newton marched all the way to the Class 5A title game where the Railers finished second. Newton placed three players on the All-League First-Team as a result with seniors Katie Loescher and Rachel Volk along with junior Emily Hiebert. Loescher was also honored as the league Most Valuable Player. Newton's coach Jamie Dibbens was named the Division I Coach of the Year.
In Division II, Valley Center and McPherson finished with matching 11-1 league records and three-loss records overall. Valley Center finished third in Class 5A, while McPherson was second in Class 4A. As a result, five of the seven First-Team All-League spots were earned by either Hornets or Bullpups. The senior duo of Ashlyn Driskill and Emily Otte along with Meagan Williams were Valley Center's selections. Senior Bethany Farres and junior Katelyn Loecker were McPherson's selections.
Driskill was named the League MVP and Valley Center's Bryan Otte was honored as Coach of the Year.
