After a 23-3 season and a runner-up finish at the 4A state tournament, DeSoto tops the 2012 All-Frontier League softball team.  The Wildcats finished with eight spots on the all-league team, including five first-team players, four of which are returning next season.  DeSoto placed three players on the second team, making seven total returning all-league players from last season’s state runner-up team.

Paola had a stellar season as well, qualifying for the 4A state tournament as well, ending the year with a 22-2 record after losing to eventual champion Andale/Garden Plain.  The Panthers picked up seven nods on the all-league list, with a pair of first-team players and four on the second team.
