  • Dodge City shuts door on Great Bend for 8-0 win

    It’s never a good thing when your keeper is your busiest player on the pitch. Great Bend sophomore Emily Ibarra came up with 13 saves against Dodge City but that was not nearly enough as the Red Demons blasted the Panthers 8-0. The win was welcome for a team looking to find itself.

    The Larned boys golf team had never competed at the Kingman Invitational Golf Tournament before Tuesday afternoon. And while unfamiliarity with the Kingman Country Club course did play a factor in individual scores, it did little to prevent the Indians from walking away with the team title.

  • Great Bend qualifies for state in seven events in home meet

    Great Bend and Hays have healthy numbers and athletes out for this year’s swim season. For the host Panthers on Thursday, that translated into a 133-point win against the Indians (257-124). Campus was second heading into the final event but finished third with 112 points. More importantly, Great Bend qualified for state in seven more events in just its second meet of the season.
