The Liberal High School boys’ soccer team started and finished the game with dominance. It defeated Garden City 3-1.

The last time these two teams met, Liberal was shutout, so it's safe to say the Redskins had revenge on the mind. It was a physical game for both sides, especially in the second half.

After a goal by sophomore midfielder Christian Espinoza, the Redskins went up on the Buffaloes 3-1. Neither team budged on defense and the score remained the same through the end. With the Western Athletic Conference title up for grabs the Redskins are eager to seize it again.

“We can be a better team if we just go out there and know we can win,” Espinoza said. “If they beat Dodge and we beat Garden, we can go out there and beat Dodge as well. We have ten straight WAC championships and the Redskins ain’t letting that go.”
