WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- North High boys are off to an early 2-0 start, due to its sharpshooting duo of Jackie Johnson III and Peyton Hatter.
Johnson, a freshman point guard, is the second-leading scorer in the City league, averaging 25 points per game.
His senior counterpart , Hatter is averaging 20.
"We know one of us is looking to score the ball at all times and I've always got his back," Hatter said. "If he misses, I'm going to get the rebound. If not, I expect to throw in."
Johnson said he owes his high numbers to the rest of his team, a group that is clicking on all levels.
"Everybody is doing what they are supposed to do, everybody is doing what is expected. We're just trying to go out and perform every night."
The Redskins look to go 3-0 when they take on South Friday night.
