Coaches coming together for Carter Roberts

WICHITA, Kan. -- (KWCH) UPDATED: 7/8/2017

Carter Roberts is just six years old and has inoperable brain cancer.

He and his family have been at St. Jude's in Memphis for nearly three months.

Saturday, area basketball coaches came together to raise money for the family.

Bryce Roberts, Carter's father, played basketball for coaches Lonnie Lollar, Mike Abasolo, and Mark Potter. These three men were some of the architects of the Carter Tough Basketball Camp.

Carter also got to play basketball with the participants, a sight his father Bryce was happy to see.

"Yeah, he loves basketball. He was playing in the YMCA league up until he got diagnosed," Bryce said. "He just loves playing basketball and it was cool seeing him out there again and they had a number 52 jersey for him and that's his number so he enjoyed himself, it was just a good deal today."

All donations can be made to the Carter Tough Foundation .
