Bishop Carroll Catholic High School President, Leticia Nielsen, announced today that Tyler Fraizer has been appointed the new Athletic/Activities Director.
Fraizer, who most recently served as pole vaulting coach for the University of Memphis, succeeds Larry Dostert, who held the position for 22 years. Fraizer will officially start on July 1st, 2017.
Fraizer graduated from Hutchinson Community College in 2005 and went on to graduate from the University of Memphis in 2007. He joined the U. of Memphis coaching ranks in 2007-08 following his collegiate career there; first mentoring in pole vault and javelin and then moving on solely to pole vault the following season.
Fraizer is in his 10th season on head coach Kevin Robinson’s staff. His steadying presence has paid huge dividends in the Tigers’ track and field program’s resurgence on the regional and national scenes.
Fraizer has been married for 6 years to wife, Victoria, and they have a daughter, Leighton, and son, Broden. He is a native of Wichita, Kan., where he attended Bishop Carroll Catholic High School graduating in 2002.
“It is an honor for me to return to my alma mater as the next Athletic/Activities Director. I would like to thank President Nielsen, Principal Harshberger, Father Brand and the rest of the committee for their trust and faith in me; and Larry Dostert for building and maintaining the best athletics program in the state. With strong leadership and commitment of the Bishop Carroll Catholic High School community, together we can take this program to greater heights. I look forward to building upon an already great athletic program here,” Fraizer said.
