North's Belden resigns as football coach

A mutual decision has been reached that Head Football Coach Joe Belden will resign his football position at Wichita North.

Coach Belden has been battling several health issues over the past few years and has struggled to get a handle on them. After taking this into consideration, an agreement was reached that it is in the best interest of Coach Belden, his family and the North High Football Program to step down.

Coach Belden will remain at Wichita North as a Physical Education Teacher and Weight room instructor. I am forever grateful for the time and effort Coach Belden put into this football program. While most will judge him based on the Win-Loss column, those who know him personally will know that ALL KIDS that Joe has worked with are better people because of him. He chose to do things right and take no short cuts in an effort to impact kids for life”.

A nation-wide search to find Coach Belden’s replacement will begin immediately.
