It is time for the Fifth Annual Catchy Awards to honor the student athletes from the 2011-12 school year. The media and coaches have spoken with their all-state, all-league and all-area teams. There are 28 different categories this year. Just two winners from last year will try to repeat this year. Those athletes/teams that are looking for a repeat are:
Quinn Dippel of Smoky Valley - Best Boys Tennis Player
Hollyann Johansen of Bishop Carroll – Best Bowler
This year there are a total of 53 schools represented in 28 categories. The most nominees for any one school is 12 with Bishop Carroll claiming the largest number of nominees in the five-year history of the Catchy's. Last year there were 14,193 total responses collected and each one of those votes counted in several of the categories.
